Senior Executive Officer Takeshi Moritani joined Don Quijote as a new graduate in 2005 because he thought that he would like to test himself in the culture of meritocracy and delegation of authority at the company.
After joining, he was assigned to the Shinjuku store as the person in charge of the first business division (home electronics). Subsequently, he held positions as area block manager and area category leader and served as the department head of the Home Electronics Department. He also experienced product development due to the fact that he was in charge of product planning in the Home Electronics Department. Moreover, subsequently he worked on the development of many PB products as the person responsible for home electronics in the PB Promotion Division. In 2017 he experienced the launch of a new business at Doit and from 2018 he was involved in app development as the person responsible for digital strategy. In 2019 he became the head of PB Business Strategy Headquarters.
Moritani takes care to take the lead in enjoying the work so that it does not become labor, with the motto of enjoying his work more than anyone else. Furthermore, he is focused on taking the lead in new challenges and being able to master the ability to respond to change as much as possible.
Moreover, with respect to his work, he says that he utilizes the objective perspectives that he is good at and his adaptability to new circumstances to provide appropriate value in the positions he is in charge of and that he performs work constantly confirming the advantages and value for the provider.
Going forward, his goal is to develop the original products of the Company into products that are indispensable for both the customers and the company.
