Support for Tohoku farmers : The Tohoku Cotton Project
As part of the activities to support Tohoku, UNY participated in the "Tohoku Cotton Project", selling UNY`s original "Tohoku cotton handkerchiefs and scarves" at 83 Apita stores. Filled with the wish to support the Tohoku farmers these products are towel handkerchiefs and scarfs made of yarn using a blend of cotton and organic cotton grown in Tohoku. We offer eight different items with gentle colors or floral designs, all great presents for White Day or the like.
We will continue to participate in the "Tohoku Cotton Project", supporting farmers who can no longer grow rice due to the effects by the tsunami of the Great East Japan Earthquake.
