UNY abides by Food Recycling Law and seeks to reduce food loss. We also lay food recycle plan and radically implement it in cooperation with local farmers. Together with recycling business operators and agricultural producers, we have formed 14 recycling plans and attained the food recycling rate of 80.6%, which has significantly exceeded the target of retail industry (55%). We continuously strive to reduce food waste and actively work on food recycling.
